I worked with Turner Sports as the lead designer of the streaming media player (TV) apps for the 2015, 2016, and 2017 NBA seasons. The goal was to give users access to live games, video playlists, scores, and their NBA League Pass Account on the big screen. I led the design ideation, user flows, wireframes, high fidelity UI, and motion design. Design tools include Sketch, InVision, Omnigraffle (flow maps), After Effects, and Zeplin.
I led the complete redesign of the Roku app in 2017. Following the NBA rebrand, I updated the color scheme and logo and added account login UX for NBA League Pass. The biggest challenge was adapting a complex feature set with the platform constraints of the Roku SDK and its interaction controls.
For this season I updated the UI and UX on Apple TV including an overhaul of the calendar and scores sections, updated hero imagery presentation, and a reskin to dark-mode.
In 2016 I overhauled the UI and UX to utilize the newest Apple TV (Generation 4) features, animated the motion graphics (shown above), and created the NBA page content for the new tvOS App Store.
