“Color is the keyboard, the eyes are the hammers, the soul is the piano with many strings. The artist is the hand which plays, touching one key or another, to cause vibrations in the soul."
–Wassily Kandinsky
As a artist and product designer, I strive to find a balance between the two. My paintings and illustrations draw on moments which transcend reality; whether spiritually, emotionally, or physically. Through modern dreamscapes and a touch of surrealism, I explore the unity between dreams, nature, and the human form. My work reflects a deep love for Rocky Mountain adventure and international travel. It also serves as a diary of intense experience, weaving a patchwork between reality and the sub-conscious.
In 2010 I graduated University of Denver with a double major in Digital Media Studies (now Emergent Digital Practices) and Studio Art and a minor in Computer Science. I chose to focus on the technical and creative disciplines to cultivate skills across the entire brain: from the creative to the logical to the intuitive.
Today I work as a Sr. Product Designer at Disney on the ESPN team. I lead the design of major features of the ESPN apps and website that touch millions of users each year. I also work as as freelance painter and graphic designer, exhibiting in galleries and outdoor festivals across Colorado. If you'd like to learn more, please drop me a line!
