Overview
What is the JetBlue App?
JetBlue is a travel app used to book flights, manage trips, and check-in. Designed for iOS (iPhone & iPad) and Android (phone & tablet).
Opportunities & Challenges
While at POSSIBLE Mobile, JetBlue came to us with an existing native mobile app that they wanted redesigned with a consistent, modern design system in two phases.
My Role
Lead designer focusing on UI, UX, design systems, motion design, research, and user testing.
Team
Me (Lead Designer), a 2nd designer, Project Manager, and a team of 4 developers.
iPhone - Live in App Store
In this first phase we re-designed the entire app to improve the UX and create a consistent design system. Major views include the Home, My Trips, Booking, Check-in, and Flight Tracker.
iPhone - Dark Mode
As a new feature for iOS 13, I created an alternate version of the major app views in Dark Mode to help save phone battery life and ease eye strain.
iPhone - Trip Guide Concepts
We pitched the Trip Guide as one major feature for our phase 2 design improvements strategy. It is a day of travel companion for users when preparing for their trip, walking through the airport, journeying inflight, and arriving at their destination. Be sure to play the animation video above.

Results
The JetBlue app for iPhone won multiple awards including:
  1. JD Power Award - Best Travel App, 2018
  2. Webby Award - Best Travel App, 2018
